Why EMPI Erasmus+ mobility partner in italy
Social Inclusion
Our Strongest Competence
Italy is a country where the boundaries of social exclusion naturally soften. Since 2011, we have developed strong mobility programmes focused on inclusion, equality, community and intercultural dialogue. Here, every participant finds their place – regardless of their social background.

Experience Built on
First-Hand Participation
Our international mobility work began in 2011 – one of us organized and hosted students for the first time, while the other participated in that very first traineeship. We were not observers, we lived through every part of the process ourselves. This continues to give us a unique understanding of how to organize a high-quality and meaningful mobility experience, a clear insight into the challenges participants face, and what truly creates both direct and added value.
The Heart
of Culture, Gastronomy
and Art
Italy is an exceptional destination for those who wish to deepen their knowledge in gastronomy, art, craftsmanship and culture. As the birthplace of European culture, Italy offers mobility participants the opportunity to experience authentic European heritage and a creative environment that inspires exploration, learning and meaningful discovery.

A Unique Location
The Gargano Peninsula
We operate in one of the most beautiful and inspiring regions of Italy – the Gargano Peninsula, located within a national park. This environment teaches slow living, respect for religious and cultural traditions, and care for nature. Participants naturally experience the “slow living” philosophy, newly emerging sustainability ideas, and, alongside them, long-standing local traditions that have shaped the region’s way of life for decades.
A Small, Safe Town with Personal Attention
We host mobility programmes in the small and charming town of Rodi Garganico, where all essential services are available, the environment is safe, and the strong, historically rooted sense of community – typical of Italy – is still alive.
This provides participants with the opportunity to:
• feel safe and confidently explore their surroundings,
• be seen, supported and encouraged,
• receive individual attention, which we consider one of our core values.

Genuine Care, Supportive Connections and Open Communication
Our work is grounded in human-centred values: direct personal contact, trust and emotional connection, and, when needed, open and respectfully delivered feedback. Every participant finds a supportive space to grow, express themselves and feel confident in their authenticity.
We support, guide and accompany each person so that the traineeship becomes not only a professional, but also a deeply personal experience.
